OMG! RAIN

Look at this! the girl human opened all the blinds so we could watch the rain. It's finally raining. We are in a bad drought here and all the grass and plants are almost burned up from the 100 degree weather and under 2" of rain for 3 months...... I don't even beg to go outside anymore because it's awful hot out there. I hope there is more rain to come...

Purrr-fect spot

This is the perfect spot for a nap. I've got my water because I've been working up a sweat, I've got my favorite power tool, some clamps, crowbar, and hammer. What more could a cat want? Oh well maybe for that girl human to turn off the Learn to Speak Italian CD.....I can't take it anymore.... aiuto! aiuto! It is doing a good job of scaring the orange cat who thinks there are Italian strangers in the house and he is hiding.... ha haaha.

Daddy's little helper

These bookcases are really shaping up and I'm really proud of my work. I'm almost finished with putting them together, but I can't find my drill. What.... it's above me?

Oh, there it is. How the heck am I going to get it down from there? Forget it, I'm going to go take a nap.

I'm up, I'm up

What? I'm not sleeping in on a work day.....what do you mean I said stuff about you being lazy? I'm just waiting around for you to get busy. The girl human put my bed in a new spot so I had to check it out. I'm not still sleeping....like I said, I'm ready, I'm up, lets get the tools.

Come On!!

Wow those humans are lazy. Sleeping in....taking time for coffee and breakfast. Moaning and whining about hurting bodies.....what is arthritis? Someone thinks they have it in their hand. What ever humans LET'S GO!!! What can I do today? Do you need me to hold anything down? I got the little ladder.... can I use the nailer? Can I, huh, can I ? pleeeeeeeeease.

The power nailer!!!

Yes! the power tools are back in the house....but this one isn't making any noise. I need it to make noise to scare the orange cat and get him out of my hair. OH here's the problem, it's not plugged in. This is a time I really wish I had thumbs, otherwise I have to bite it to plug it in.....well it's worth it to get rid of Kosmo. This thing really makes a lot of loud noises. Here we go....

Work has stopped

Nothing to do here now that the work has stopped on the front room. I don't have any power tools...the sander has been put out in the garage. No humans to help..... it has become really quiet and boring. The humans spend their time in the pool with evil ducky and I'm left in the house. Just when I was finally getting settled into my nap....the orange cat is out. He had been hiding for days when the power tools were out, I've got to get the humans to start to work on the room again! Otherwise, I may never get to sleep.

The pool

I can't believe what I am seeing. My humans are are floating around in all that water. They must have gone crazy because I can't believe they would get into the water themselves! No, they must have been tricked by that evil ducky. Oh, the water....all that water; it must be so awful. I'll get that duck with it's stupid grin and sunglasses for making my humans wet.

Have you seen the humans? I'm ready to get some feet....... I'll try not to use claws so I don't get yelled at for drawing blood....but I might get to excited in the hunt. If you see them tell them there is something really cool in the living room that they have to go see.....heee heee.

Is it time yet?

I am starting to lose track of time...... I know that when the girl human comes home I will be fed. But she never leaves.... how am I to know when it's dinner time? Sometimes she will come home and tell me it's not time for food......WHAT? but you came home.... what do you mean it's just noon and I don't get food until 5? These words make no sense to me....you left and came back...that means food in my bowl..... Forget it, I'll just take a nap wake me when it is 5:00. geez

Ducky

There he is! I was hoping he had melted with the 100+ degree weather it has been for weeks. Of course that was wishful thinking, becasue here he is to mock me. I'm stuck inside and he is free to float around the pool and watch the birds.

Chillin'

Ahhh, the couch. It is so nice to sit up here on the squishy couch that is so comfortable. I can sit up here if a human is with me....such stupid rules, but I'll play the game to get this spot. I can rest and look out the window. Now if only I had a beverage.......oh human. human......

In trouble

Finally it happened....the orange cat is in trouble. Ha ha ha. I got a picture of him having to stand in the corner! He's no longer the perfect kitty. Kosmo doesn't climb the ladder and try to get into the hole in the ceiling, Kosmo doesn't claw my feet, Kosmo doesn't lay on the couch, Kosmo doesn't try to run out the front door, Kosmo doesn't get on the counters, Kosmo doesn't meow in the morning, etc, etc. Well, I shouldn't have to hear all that stuff again.......

Corner stretch

This is my favorite corner of the rug in the living room. It is of course right in the major walk way into the living room and I can swat at humans feet as they walk past me. My favorite thing is to snag the girl human's pajama pants as she goes by because they swing me around on the tile.......but this is summer time and she isn't happy when I claw her foot instead. This is my corner stretch, I'm getting my practice in so I'll be ready for the winter of pant snagging......

Time out!

Whew, that was a serious play session with Kosmo. I was so exhausted I had to call Time Out so I could rest. In our game, I have to call time out by making a "T" with my paws like the humans do in sports. I think the humans would freak out if I did time out like they do, when I play with the humans my time out signal is when I run and scratch my post like a good kitty.

Late afternoon sunbeam

This is a very nice sunbeam. Well, I'm just laying here thinking about the world and my little role in the big picture. I am Ruler of a great nation, but I still feel like a little kitten laying here in my sunbeam. I guess that is what I wish for everyone, to feel comfortable in these little moments of life. Enjoy the beautiful gold light of the evening.

My foil mouse...... go away

Geez this orange cat is always here to annoy me. Anytime I find anything cool to do, there he is all serious and ready to take it away from me. I just want to hang out with my mouse...bite it a few times, swat it a few times, and chill. Now it's a competition and he is always out for blood. I usually end up getting bit and then the fun is OVER... argh he is so annoying.

It's alive!

This foil mouse never moved before! Suddenly it keeps wiggling it's tail and moving one or two tiles across the floor. It's alive! It seems to only move when it is in front of the bedroom door and when the air conditioner turns on. It must get tired fast because it will stop and rest for a while then all the sudden.....zoom........it's racing past me on the floor. Maybe it is getting too hot, it is 100 degrees outside, and it only feels like moving when there is cool air from the vent.....either way it's fun to watch.

My buddy

The humans are doing some remodeling again and my buddy is back in the house. He is so much fun! I love the noise he makes when the humans hold him, I come running to see what is happening. He's sleepy from working all day so I thought would lay down and take a nap too.

Here Fishy Fishy

Not much going on outside today so I figured I would play with my favorite toy...the fish. I basically like most toys with bells but this one is special. The fishy has been through a lot. My humans know it's a special fishy so they have sewn it back together a few times for me.

Here birdie birdie

I know I'm not allowed on the furniture, but this table has a great view of the birds. These birds are small and hoppy...they are bouncing around everywhere! I wish my humans would let me out so I could chase them!

Doin' Laundry

The girl human was washing all the kid aprons from school and I thought I would see what I could do to help. Apparently swatting at all the strings when she folded the aprons was not that helpful. I decided to check and see if there was anything interesting left in the washer but there was only some lint from the dryer on the floor..... not that exciting of a day today.

Exciting day

Today I was woken up from my nap by another bird outside the window. This time it was a bird that got too close and hit the window. Lucky for the bird my human was home to fish it out of the pool after it bounced off the window. The bird was also lucky that my human doesn't eat birds because instead the bird was placed on the pot outside the window why won't it fly away? My human said the bird had to sit there a while to dry off and unscramble his brain.

Rehashing Old Plans

My plan to get rid of Kosmo is back in play. I've been stealing away to the humans garage and working on the Delorean Time Machine every chance I get. I need to get the brakes working again so I dont have another "mishap" like last time.
There seems to be parts missing here thou...and I turn around and seen an orange puff of hair on the garage floor. Kosmo has been here!

The outside

There is a lot of activity outside today. Squirrels are running around. Birds are everywhere! They like to land on top of the stakes for the vegetable garden. They are even hopping over here to the window.

My human and Me..... and the TV

I love watching TV with my human in the morning before he goes to work. He lets me smell his coffee breath and pets my head. Today was extra special because I got to be incharge of the clicker.

Well, this isn't as good as the stuff from the freezer, but it's still better than my cat food.

We all MEOW for ice cream

This is the usual after dinner snack I get. I enjoy all kinds of this stuff that comes out of the freezer. It's very cold and gives me kitty brain freeze but it is so worth it as I gobble it up.

Well then my human saw me yesterday in my bed..........

Now after this .....I'm on a diet.

Bunkbed

Sometimes when I want to spread out and really relax I go to the bottom bunk. It's nice and roomy and doesn't have that annoying orange cat glaring at me.

I don't know why the boy human thinks this is funny but he throws his dirty sock on me when he gets home. If I don't move fast I'll end up with both socks...lucky for me today Kosmo was around to get the second sock.
